Three days done

I am in Aubrac Aumont at the end of the third day. Have done about 80 km of hard but spectacular walking. The route is very hilly. For instance climbing for 4.5 km for 2000 feet then dropping into a deep valley the same distance. Really hard on my feet which are very sore. Also thighs are aching from all the steep downhills. Weather has been cool and ideal to this point. No rain yet. Internet availability is sporadic and very slow. Will try to keep you informed as best I can.

Leaving for Europ on April 20, 2011

I'm off to Europe on April 20 to visit my father in Hamburg Germany and then to make my way to Le Puy-en-Velay in France from where I will begin walking my third Camino de Santiago pilgrimmage(the Way of St. James) on April 26. I hope to arrive in Santiago de Compostela by June 20. I'll be posting updates on this blog as time and internet availability permits. Hans
